One Year To An Organized Life – Regina Leeds
From Your Closets to Your Finances, a Guide to Getting Completely Organized For Good
I bought this book because I needed to simplify my life. Organization, in all areas of my life, challenges me to a point I often get frustrated and overwhelmed. Grrr…
But something told me that I could get more done, have more time, if I would stop looking for misplaced items and stop my chronic cycles of clutter.
I searched online and came across Regina Leeds books One Year to an Organized Life for which the cover design says it all : get your ducks in a row, which means to take care of one’s duties and responsabilities to organize one’s affair.
I was immediately sold to the concept and happy to share it here for you to benefit from it as well!
Known as the Zen Organizer, Regina Leeds is a professional organizer and founder of Get Organized!
The book dedicates a part to each of the twelve months of the calendar year. Every month has projects and discoveries that will move you forward in your quest to get organized once and for all.
After you’re organized, this book can serve as your coach when you need to to do those obligatory tune-ups. Imagine the ste of your car if you never changed the oil, checked the fluids, or ran diagnostic tests on its computer. What about your teeth if you decided to save money and never see a dentist?
Everyting requires maintenance, including your home life.
Available on Amazon.
You might not have the time to journal on the first week of each month, but if you do, it could be helpful. It help me realise why I was holding on to so much stuff!
Readers reviews
f you take on board her premise, organising becomes a lot easier. You will have to work, and you have to develop systems so that you never get to this stage again, but there are plans for that.
I have already gone through so much stuff. Bin bags have either been taken to the charity shop, or put aside for a ‘swap party’ out of the way.
If you have lots of rooms in the house and events such as moving or travelling, and particularly if you celebrate thanksgiving, then this book will take you a full year. As it is, I think I may be done in a couple of months.
Regina ask us to buy supplies every month but it is not always necessary. When I do, I try to get it from a cheap shop. P.S.

The book is fantastic, thorough and incredibly helpful. I enjoy help books that are methodical and laid out in a logical way, and this is exactly that. Packed with helpful information and motivation to keep you moving forward. Love it. I would recommend it to anyone who doesn’t currently have their life in order – this can definitely help you! E.C.
‘Watch Regina Leeds put the finishing touch to Daniella Monet’s new walk-in closet. As a professional organizer Regina arranges Daniella’s wardrobe to be accessible and attractive. Unique to her approach is her deep understanding of eastern philosophy which she infuses into the space to create a Zen oasis.
As this New York bestselling author points out – your closet is a reflection of you and how you feel about yourself. Hear more gems of wisdom and share your own.’
Enjoy the read and the watch !
